Art Deco

These are some cards and a wall hanging I made for DoCrafts Creativity magazine issue 38. I entered a competition with my Shades of Green card, and even thought I did not win, I was asked if I would like to do their Talent Spot feature - wasn't going to say no, so this is what the lovely people at DoCrafts sent me.

A parcel arrived with loads of the Art Deco products - backing papers, card, decoupage, toppers, peel-offs, ribbon, feathers and bling! Must admit Art Deco is not really 'my thing', but the images are lovely and I fell for the peel-off feathers, finding a place for them on each of the projects.

This is a die-cut decoupage image which seemed ideal for an anniversary card. Added ribbon, feathers and bling to finish.

This is a stepper card made with a topper and using the Art Deco gems and feather peel-offs.

This last project is a wall hanging. I have used one of the die cut decoupage images, mounting onto card and backing paper. I used the largest of the feathers to make a feature in the bottom corner.

I placed the feather peel-offs onto black card and cut out, leaving a border. This took a while, but worth the effort I think.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
