I have stamped the word 'Butterfly' onto white card with Vintage Photo ink and then embossed with the Regency Swirls folder, trimmed to size and inked the edges with Vintage Photo. I have cut them out, shaped the wings and attached to the card. I have embossed the Butterfly word with bronze powder and 3D attached to finish.

Loved making this card, hope you like it.

What a Hoot!

Hi everybody,

Here's my DT card made with one of the new Create-a Card dies from Crafter's Companion

Love this Owl!

To make this card you will need:

From Crafter's Companion
Die’sire Create A Card – What A Hoot & With Love dies
Fancy Card Blanks – Diorama Card - Kraft
Luxury Card Pack – Gold
Kraft card
Black card

To make this card I have die-cut the What a Hoot die into the front of a diorama card black and trimmed away the centre (save the owl in one piece) to leave some flowers and leaves around the edges, added a few tiny pearls and cut a frame from matt gold card. Cut the owl die again from a piece of kraft card and colour the flowers and leaves with Distress inks, Matt onto black card and attach to the back of the diorama blank. Trim around the saved owl and colour with Vintage Photo ink, attach to matt gold card, trim around the edges and add to the back of the card with 3D glue. Glue the two piece of the diorama card together at he tabs. Die-cut the With love sentiment twice and use the waste letters to add the sentiment.

Hope you like this lovely owl too.

Suspended T-cup

Hi everybody,

It's been a very long time since I blogged and need to get back to posting!

Thought I would start with this Suspended T-cup which I made recently for my Mum's Birthday - she loved it (hope you do too)

These floating T-cups are easier to make than they may look.
Here are a few pictures to show how I made this one.

To start you need a pretty cup and saucer and an old fork. You need to bend the fork so that the prongs can be glued to the saucer and the handle glued to the inside of the cup - afraid I forgot to take a photo of this. I used a hot glue gun to stick the fork in place.

Next you need to cover the fork with something like dried moss or dried grass used by florists. Again I have attached this with a glue gun and you need enough to hide the fork.

Next I have die-cut quite a lot of flowers from different shades of pink card and inked the edges of the petals with distress inks. You will also need some leaves cut from green card. After inking the edges the flowers have been shaped and layered together.

Cover the moss or grass with the flowers, mixing up the colours and designs.

Finally add in the leaves to finish.

You will need:
Signature Collection Floral Delight - In Bloom & Pretty Petals dies
Signature Collection English Country Garden - Lazy Daisy, Grand Floral,
Floral Duo & Roll up Flower (from Crafter's Companion)
Distress Ink Pads - Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar,
Worn Lipstick & Picked Raspberry
