Camden Town Wall Hanging

This is a wall hanging I made using the Camden Town CD from Crafters Companion. There are some lovely papers and toppers on the CD and all in really gorgeous colours. The CD is available as a One Day Wonder on Create and Craft right now.

Camden Town

A quick post to let you know about the fab Camden Town CD's from Crafters Companion. Tomorrow on Create and Craft there is a One Day Special for the CD's. Here is a tag card I made from the CD and is on the Crafters Companion Blog along with some more cards from the DT.

Everything is printed from the Female CD, I have just added a doyley, pearls and some lace and ribbon.

This is another card from the Female CD. The images are really lovely and the sentiments are a bit different to most. Should add that there is also a Male CD which has really great images for men - not just sport!

Will share a step by step wall hanger from the same CD tomorrow.

Papercraft Essentials - Brayering

Hi All, quite excited this week when my copy of Papercraft Essentials magazine arrived.

My first full article is in this months issue, it is a beginners guide to Brayering which I really enjoyed making the cards for. There is a small picture of my cards on the cover and I was really pleased when I looked inside to see this...
 ... Editors favourite!!!!

There are four cards printed in the magazine along with the list of products and how to make them. These are the cards...

I made a couple of other cards for this article (not in the magazine)so I will show them as well

For all the cards I used Distress Inks to brayer with in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey. I also used Hunkydory Colour Me! card which I found worked really well with the Distress inks and blended very nicely. The stamping is done with Black VersaFine ink for clear detail.

Hope you like the cards,

Barkley

Here's my first project for Crafters Companion using the Barkley Everyday CD.

All the elements for the card can be found on the CD, and I have used the Rose Garden embossing folder by de-bossing the card and adding glitter with a glue pen in the de-bossed lines.
The step-by-step for this card can be found here

Exciting News...

Hi Crafters, have had some exciting news in the last week... I applied for the Crafters Companion DT a few weeks ago and as you can see from the newly installed badge, I have been accepted on the team. There is a lot going on at the moment and much to get my head around, but very excited.

Here is one of the projects I sent for my application.

This was made with free gifts which came with one of last years CC Inspirations magazines. I entered this in a competition in the mag and won a runner up prize of 72 Spectrum Noir pens!.

The ballet girl is stamped and coloured with alcohol pens and cut out. The papers are printer from a CC CD Rom and the embossed card was done with a folder from the mag.

Papercrafter of the Year 2013

Happy Christmas everybody, not long now till Santa gets here!

It's been a while since I posted but I have some exciting news to share. I have won Papercraft Essentials magazine Papercrafter of the Year 2013 competition, I found out about 4 weeks ago and the magazine with my projects in came out last week. It is safe to say I was very, very excited when I read the email saying I had won I am already working on a project for the magazine. Anyway, I won't go on about it, just show you what I made.

Make a Wish

This card was made with Inkylicious stamps, white embossing powder, distress inks and memory box butterfly dies.

Magical Christmas

I have used Lily of the Valley stamps and coloured them with Promarkers, hunkydory snow acetate on the window, Flower Soft 'snow' and snowflake dies.

Wedding Pennant

This was made with a mount board base and to decorate it I used a cute Fizzy Moon stamp, again coloured with Promarkers, Sizzix pennant stamps and dies set, Tattered Florals decorative strip die and some glitter and bling.

Would love to here your comments.
Have a great Christmas, hope Santa brings you some crafty goodies xx

Art Deco

These are some cards and a wall hanging I made for DoCrafts Creativity magazine issue 38. I entered a competition with my Shades of Green card, and even thought I did not win, I was asked if I would like to do their Talent Spot feature - wasn't going to say no, so this is what the lovely people at DoCrafts sent me.

A parcel arrived with loads of the Art Deco products - backing papers, card, decoupage, toppers, peel-offs, ribbon, feathers and bling! Must admit Art Deco is not really 'my thing', but the images are lovely and I fell for the peel-off feathers, finding a place for them on each of the projects.

This is a die-cut decoupage image which seemed ideal for an anniversary card. Added ribbon, feathers and bling to finish.

This is a stepper card made with a topper and using the Art Deco gems and feather peel-offs.

This last project is a wall hanging. I have used one of the die cut decoupage images, mounting onto card and backing paper. I used the largest of the feathers to make a feature in the bottom corner.

I placed the feather peel-offs onto black card and cut out, leaving a border. This took a while, but worth the effort I think.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
