Suspended T-cup

Hi everybody,

It's been a very long time since I blogged and need to get back to posting!

Thought I would start with this Suspended T-cup which I made recently for my Mum's Birthday - she loved it (hope you do too)

These floating T-cups are easier to make than they may look.
Here are a few pictures to show how I made this one.

To start you need a pretty cup and saucer and an old fork. You need to bend the fork so that the prongs can be glued to the saucer and the handle glued to the inside of the cup - afraid I forgot to take a photo of this. I used a hot glue gun to stick the fork in place.

Next you need to cover the fork with something like dried moss or dried grass used by florists. Again I have attached this with a glue gun and you need enough to hide the fork.

Next I have die-cut quite a lot of flowers from different shades of pink card and inked the edges of the petals with distress inks. You will also need some leaves cut from green card. After inking the edges the flowers have been shaped and layered together.

Cover the moss or grass with the flowers, mixing up the colours and designs.

Finally add in the leaves to finish.

You will need:
Signature Collection Floral Delight - In Bloom & Pretty Petals dies
Signature Collection English Country Garden - Lazy Daisy, Grand Floral,
Floral Duo & Roll up Flower (from Crafter's Companion)
Distress Ink Pads - Shabby Shutters, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar,
Worn Lipstick & Picked Raspberry

Scruffy Little Kitten

Good Morning,

Are you ready to meet the Scruffy Little Kittens?

Here are some of my samples from the new Scruffy Little Kitten CD from Crafter's Companion.
The collection launches today on Create and Craft as a 4 Day Deal with Fiona Clayton.

This easel card is made using one of the Megapage elements from the CD along with backing papers and embellishments - perfect for a young lady.

The little girl on this card is from the decoupage section. The pretty backing paper and flowers are also on the CD. I have added paper roses to the centre of the flowers which are coloured with Spectrum Noir pen PL3 to match the flowers on the image.

One for the boys! Quick stepper card using a topper and blended tags on the CD. Great for all the football mad boys you know.

This one is made using one of the Card Companions. All the elements are printed on one sheet, I have just added a bit of backing paper to the inside section.

You can check out more ideas and inspiration on the Pinterest board here.

Enjoy the shows and Happy Crafting xx

Memory Box Meadowbird Branch

Good Morning,

Here are some cards I made for this months Papercraft Essentials magazine.

The cards are aimed at men - always difficult to do - so no frills! The die set is from Memory Box called Meadowbird Branch. You get a small bird, and four dies which cut some really delicate bits of foliage in the set. The foliage would be useful for any cards with flowers to add some 'green bits'.
Here are the cards I made with the die.

These could easily be made into Christmas cards by making the little bird a robin with a red breast - will have to give that a go.

Spectrum Noir Pencils

Hello,

Here's a stepper card I made using a Sheena Douglass stamp called Milestones and Moments
from the A Little Bit Sketchy stamp range.

I have coloured the image with Spectrum Noir Pencils.

I blended the pencils with paper stumps and blending solution which gives a really
smooth finish to the coloured image.

Also used are Embossalicious Birthday Text 6x6 folder, Centura Pearl Snow white card,
Black card, VersaFine Black ink, Ribbon, glitter dots.

Hot Air Balloon

Good Evening Crafter's,

Hope you have caught the shows on Create and Craft showing the new 3D templates from Crafter's Companion, they will be on again tomorrow if you missed them. This was my favourite one to make and the template is so simple to use and goes together really well.

Teddy is going for a ride!

This was made with the new A3 Springtime card and the die cut leaves and flowers are a Sheena Douglass die called Wild Rose. You can see more inspiration for the templates from the rest of the Design Team here.

Star Box

Just a quick post today to show you one of the new 3D templates from Crafter's Companion which are launching on Create and Craft at the weekend. This is the Star Box which is really easy to assemble and makes a lovely box - but a little bit different.

This box was made from white Centura Pearl and the patterned card is from a new A3 pack called Springtime, which is double sided and gorgeous! The flowers are made with Die'sire Essentials - Flowers for all Occasions die.

This one is made with another new A3 card pack from CC called Timeless and the butterfly is cut in glitter card with Die'sire Filigree Butterfly.

There are 6 new 3D templates, including a Hot Air Balloon which I will show you tomorrow.
