An old picture frame...

Good Evening.
I have been having a play with an old picture frame I picked up from a car boot sale for 50p.

I have painted the frame with acrylic paints and stamped and embossed with bronze powder some small areas of script and grasses from a stamp set  - Creative Expressions Meadow Flora. When I heated the powder the paint bubbled slightly, but I have decided this is a 'happy accident' because it adds some texture to the frame!

I cut a piece of mount board to fit the frame, stamped around the edges with the grasses and embossed in clear powder, and sponged Distress inks over the whole piece.

The flowers are cut with Sizzix Tattered Florals die from mount board, coloured with Distress inks and covered with UTEE. While the last layer of UTEE was still warm I sprinkled on some bronze micro beads and reheated to make sure they were set into the UTEE.

The flowers on the frame are cut from shrink plastic and coloured very lightly with Distress inks and stamped with script.

This was a bit of an experiment. Hope you like it.

Card in a box

Good Evening all, been making a special card today for a commission. I was asked for a very special card, in pink and green with some sparkle. I am delivering it tomorrow, so I hope it's OK!
See what you think.
The card is just under A4 in size, this is the top of the box and the card wrapped in tissue paper and tied with ribbon.

Front of the card. The pink paper is from a georgous pad by Lucy Cromwell for Docrafts, I have stamped a few daisys in green around the outer white mount. The small square in the centre is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and highlighted with green ink. The butterflies and flowers are both Memory Box dies. Added a butterfly charm and gems to finish.

Inside of card - just enough room to write!

Hope she likes it. Happy crafting xx

Evening all. Been busy working on a crafty project for a competition in one of the craft magazines this week. No pics as yet but I am quite pleased with the finished piece. Will send it off and keep my fingers crossed.

Here's a couple of cards I made this week for a friend at work for her Grandaughters.

Hello Kitty for a young lady who loves everything pink and pretty, and asked her Grandma for Hello Kitty wallpaper for her bedroom!

I have stamped a few flowers on the background and made the larger flowers with a flower punch.

Peppa Pig for the younger Grandaughter. Kept this one simple as it was for a 2 year old.

Shades of Green

This is a 8 x 8 square card with the front cut into a curve. The papers and flowers are Papermania Chelsea Green and the butterfly is an X-cut punch.

This pic shows the curve a bit more, and the top butterflies on the inside.

For special cards or if they have large embellishments, I usually make a box. This is the top of the box, decorated to match the card.

Card & Wall Hanging

This is a triple easel card I made for my sister. The image is a Lili of the Vally stamp -' Pom Pom' coloured with Distress Inks. The corner swirl and butterfly are both Memory Box dies. The top wings of the butterflies have been dabbed with versamark ink and covered with gold detail embossing powder and heated (do this on a heat resistant craft mat) The background is sponged with Distress Inks and stamped and embossed in gold on the corners Added some paper roses to finish.

Wall hanging made with the same items. (this was a pressie for sisters new house)
